Morning, neighbors!
Rain showers are the story again today here in the Lower Russian River and Guerneville area. A slow-moving upper-level low just offshore will keep light rain going through this afternoon for spots that see it.
Most places can expect about 0.10 to 0.50 inches over the course of today, with coastal areas likely picking up the highest totals thanks to upslope flow. The severe threat from earlier has closed — this is now just light, beneficial rain.
Showers should taper off entirely by sunset tonight, with drier air filling in behind the exiting system.
Looking ahead, Friday starts a warming and drying trend that carries into the weekend and early next week. Temperatures will hover right around normal for this time of year — no big warmup, just a nice, mellow reset under light ridging through mid next week, before troughing starts to develop well offshore again.
Bottom line: wet roads and on-and-off showers today, dry by tonight, and a calm, near-normal weekend ahead. Easy day to let the rain do its work and enjoy the clear-out coming behind it. 🤙

The one offshore wind event on the horizon stays up near Redding this weekend.
